At CASALPIN, we have always been very environmentally conscious and climate-oriented. On the one hand, our vacation homes are built entirely from natural wood, and on the other hand, the entire interior construction and most of the interior furnishings are also made of wood. In addition to the positive carbon footprint, our guests also expect an excellent indoor climate. That is also the reason why our guests sleep so well with us.

Waste separation and recyclingWe have been separating our waste properly since the very beginning. It would have been easy to just throw everything away, but we collect and dispose of all recyclable materials. Paper, plastic, glass, and metal can be separated in the entrance hall. After guests leave, we collect everything in our recycling containers. We even built our own recycling center for this purpose in 2022. The recycling containers are then picked up by the municipality or emptied at the Brand waste center.

Pure drinking water from the mountains
Pure, cool, fresh Brandner mountain water comes out of our taps. Not only does it taste good and is healthy, it also saves on lots of plastic mineral water bottles. Fresh mountain water throughout the entire vacation home.

Central location, short distances, and village bus
Our holiday village is located in the heart of the mountain village of Brand. This means you can leave your car behind and reach everything on foot. In summer, the bus is the perfect way to get to the Lünerseebahn cable car. In winter, the ski bus is available. Both can be used free of charge with your guest card.

Lots of greenery in our vacation home complex
In addition to the beautiful and well-maintained lawn between our vacation homes, we have cultivated numerous trees and plants. We now have a wonderful and fragrant lavender garden above the vacation complex. At the rear, there is a beautiful herb garden with free access for our guests. And much more, such as chestnut and apple trees, which are developing well.

We heat with wood pellets
Our heating system means we are independent of oil and gas, and we also heat in a climate-neutral way. As is well known, wood is CO2-neutral. Our pellets come from residues and offcuts from wood production and forestry.

Cosmetics switched from plastic to glass bottles
Our natural cosmetics “Sopin” are very popular. Hand soap, cream, shampoo, and dishwashing liquid with nourishing whey. Previously in plastic bottles that we had to dispose of, now NEW in glass bottles that we can refill. All soaps and creams have been switched from plastic bottles to refillable glass bottles. Solar power with our own battery
We now have a photovoltaic system on the roof of our supply building. Small but mighty, it provides the holiday resort's basic power supply in an environmentally friendly way. Brand has an above-average number of sunny days. This is due to its high altitude in the small Brandnertal valley. We take advantage of this and feed our solar battery with energy from the sun during the day.
