There are several tobogganing options in Brand.

Dorfbahn toboggan run (Eggen)
The classic natural toboggan run begins at the mountain station of the Dorfbahn in Brand and leads back to the valley station of the Dorfbahn on a wide supply road. You can go up on foot or comfortably with the Dorfbahn. You can rent the toboggan from the mountain railway. length 2.9 km, tobogganing time 25 minutes, ascent on foot: 2 hours.

Schattenlagant toboggan run
This toboggan run leads from the Schattenlagant Hut down to Brand. The Schattenlagant Hut is at the end of the Brandnertal and can only be reached on foot. The winter hike up (5 km) to the hut is accordingly beautiful. The Schattenlagant hut is a popular hiking and tobogganing destination and is ideal for refreshment (home-style cooking). The toboggan can also be rented at the hut. So run up without a toboggan, rent a toboggan and toboggan down.

Brand Bürserberg toboggan safari
The starting point of the toboggan safari is the "Burtschasattel", the mountain station of the Panoramabahn (between Brand and Bürserberg). The toboggan can be rented at the valley station of the Dorfbahn in Brand. With the Dorfbahn and the Panoramabahn you can easily get to the starting point of the toboggan run. Ideal for families and winter hikers. The toboggan run also offers quieter passages in the midst of wintry nature. The toboggan run all the way down to Bürserberg into the village. From there you can take the bus to Brand again.

Night tobogganing on the toboggan run of the Dorfbahn ( Eggen)
Every Tuesday (depending on the snow conditions) from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. there is the opportunity to toboggan at night. On the toboggan run of the Dorfbahn (Eggen) on fire, as described above. You take the Dorfbahn from the valley station to the mountain station and toboggan down the illuminated toboggan run. You can also take the Panoramabahn to Restaurant Frööd and stop there.
You can do the toboggan Rent it directly at the valley station of the Dorfbahn (6 euros per toboggan). Be sure to take a headlamp with you! The mountain railway is for night tobogganing free with the guest card!
The toboggan runs are only in operation when there is good snow!

WINTER HIKING

In Brand you can also go for wonderful walks and hikes in winter.

Alvierbach walking path
The Alvier is the stream that flows through Brand. There are paths on both sides of the stream. You can walk comfortably and quietly from the beginning of the village to the end of the village and back again. Also for families with strollers.

Hiking with the cable car
The mountain railways offer a cheap hiking map. You can use this to go to the mountain station. Both on the Palüdbahn (end of the village) and on the Dorfbahn (centre of the village).
At the Palüd you can walk to the Palüdhütte or the Niggenkopfhütte and back. At the Dorfbahn you can walk sideways up along the ski route. From there to the Burtschasattel.

Dorfbahn hiking trail
Almost exactly to the right of and under the village railway there is a hiking trail that runs from the village to the mountain station of the mountain railway. Or vice versa and you take the village train up and walk down. This is also the toboggan run in winter.

Snowshoes
Or you can grab your snowshoes, take the cable car up and move around in the open terrain next to the ski area. The possibilities are very diverse.
